CONCORD — U.S. Marshals are on the hunt for an escaped prisoner who fled from Concord Hospital – Laconia early Sunday morning.

Anthony Clark, 41, was awaiting trial at the Belknap County Department of Corrections on multiple domestic violence charges including strangulation, simple assault, stalking, and witness tampering when he required medical treatment.

During his hospital visit, Clark managed to elude custody, leaving behind an ankle monitor found outside the hospital grounds.

Belknap County Superior Court has since issued nationwide arrest warrants for Clark on new charges of escape, criminal mischief, and breach of bail.

Law enforcement officials report that Clark is actively evading capture and has connections in New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and California.

Those familiar with Clark’s history of violence express concern for public safety following his escape.

Described as a Hispanic male, 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing 230 pounds, with brown eyes and short brown hair, Clark has distinctive tattoos on his upper and forearms and an emoji-style tattoo on his right hand above the thumb.

Authorities warn the public not to approach Clark, as he is considered dangerous.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts should contact the USMS Tip Hotline at 1-877-WANTED-2 or the District of New Hampshire at 603-225-1632.

The USMS New Hampshire Joint Fugitive Task Force, established in 2002 and based in Concord, is leading the search effort.

All 10 New Hampshire county sheriff departments, the New Hampshire State Police, and many other law enforcement agencies are involved in supporting its operations.
