St. Albans man charged with Bakersfield home burglary

BAKERSFIELD — In the early hours of Aug. 1, a residence on East Bakersfield Road was the site of a burglary, according to authorities.

State Police from the St. Albans Barracks received a report of the incident at approximately 2:02 a.m. and initiated an investigation.

Their efforts led to the identification of Adam Rheaume, 40, from St. Albans, as the suspect.

Rheaume allegedly burglarized the home of Shawnda Gratton, 39, of Bakersfield.

Following the investigation, law enforcement officials located and apprehended Rheaume.

He was taken to the State Police Barracks in St. Albans for processing.

After the arrest, Rheaume was released with a citation.

He is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 24 at 8:30 a.m. to face the burglary charge.
