NEW HAVEN — A 22-year-old man from Rutland was cited for disorderly conduct and driving offenses after Vermont State Police responded to multiple reports of a disturbance at a public swimming area in Orwell.

Troopers were called to the scene at approximately 7:36 p.m. on July 27 following complaints of a male using obscene language, exhibiting threatening behavior, and obstructing vehicle traffic.

The victim, 75-year-old Anne Corrigan of Whiting, was reportedly hindered by the accused, Kaleb Marchinkowski, during the incident.

Authorities later located Marchinkowski and charged him with Disorderly Conduct, Driving with a Suspended License (DLS), and Violation of Conditions of Release (VCOR).

Marchinkowski is scheduled to appear at the Addison County Superior Court Criminal Division on Oct. 14 at 12:30 p.m. to respond to the charges.
