BRATTLEBORO — A 60-year-old Athens man has been cited for leaving the scene of an accident and negligent operation after a single-vehicle crash on an Interstate 91 on-ramp, Vermont State Police said.
James Mabe is accused of causing damage to the roadway during the crash, which occurred at the northbound Exit 2 on-ramp around 7:19 p.m. on July 31.
When troopers arrived at the scene, they found the vehicle abandoned without any notification to the police.
Following an investigation, troopers located Mabe and conducted an interview.
Mabe has been issued a citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Windham Criminal Division, at a date and time to be determined.
