ASHLAND — The Ashland Police Department issued a scam alert Wednesday, cautioning residents about a group posing as contractors from Green Paving & Masonry.
Authorities say the group, described as travelers, have been approaching homes in Ashland and nearby areas, offering paving and masonry services.
They present professional-looking pamphlets with a QR code to solicit work, potentially misleading homeowners about the legitimacy of their services.
Residents who have been approached by these individuals or have witnessed such activities are urged to contact the Ashland Police Department at 508-473-1113.
The police are investigating the reports and are asking the community to remain vigilant against such fraudulent schemes.
