West Springfield police seek help identifying counterfeiting suspect

WEST SPRINGFIELD — The West Springfield Police Department is asking for the public’s help to identify a person suspected of passing a counterfeit $100 bill at a local thrift store.

The incident occurred on July 28 when the individual reportedly used the fake bill at Saver’s on Memorial Avenue.

The police have released images of the suspect in hopes that members of the community can provide assistance in identifying them.

Detective Hebert is leading the investigation and encourages anyone with information about the suspect’s identity to contact the department at (413) 263-3210 ext. 222.

The case number associated with this incident is 24-15086-OF.

The police department assures that those who wish to provide information anonymously can do so.

The West Springfield Police Department thanked the public for their cooperation in this matter.
