Southington police seek help identifying suspects in electronics theft

SOUTHINGTON — In a brazen theft on Tuesday night, two individuals made off with approximately $2,300 worth of electronics from BJ’s Wholesale at 75 Spring Street, prompting an investigation by the Southington Police Department.

Around 8:09 p.m., officers responded to the scene after reports of a larceny were received.

The suspects, captured on surveillance footage, are alleged to have been involved in several other shoplifting incidents in the area.

Authorities reported that the stolen goods were loaded into a black SUV, which is believed to be a Jeep Grand Cherokee.

The vehicle’s Maine license plate was later discovered to be misused and not registered to the SUV in question.

The Southington Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspects.
