North Kingstown man arrested for forgery, counterfeiting plates

NORTH KINGSTOWN — A motor vehicle stop on Route 1 led to the arrest of a Connecticut man for forgery and counterfeiting registration plates, Rhode Island State Troopers said.

At about 3:45 p.m., Troopers Lepre and Ellis arrested the suspect, who was subsequently transported to the State Police – Wickford Barracks for processing.

The individual was arraigned by the Justice of the Peace and released with a scheduled appearance at the Third Division District Court.

Captain Jeffrey L’Heureux, District “B” Commander of the Rhode Island State Police, confirmed the details of the arrest.
