New Haven bank robbery suspects sought by police

NEW HAVEN — Police officers were dispatched to the M&T Bank inside the Stop & Shop at 150 Whalley Ave. at 12:05 p.m. on July 30 after receiving a report of a bank robbery.

Authorities say a man and a woman approached the bank window and handed the teller a note demanding money.

The teller complied, and the suspects left the scene without showing any weapons.

No injuries were reported during the incident.

The perpetrators were described as wearing long sleeves, pants, baseball hats, and facemasks.

Detectives have since responded to the scene to process evidence and interview witnesses.

The New Haven Police Department is urging anyone with information about the robbery or who may have witnessed the event to contact detectives at 203-946-6304.
