Four injured in Forest Avenue shooting, Portland police seek witnesses

PORTLAND — A shooting on Forest Avenue late Tuesday night resulted in four people being transported to Maine Medical Center, according to the Portland Police Department.

The incident occurred at 8:45 p.m. on the 1110 block of Forest Avenue.

Police arrived on the scene following reports of gunfire.

The victims’ identities and conditions have not been released to the public.

Authorities have reopened Forest Avenue and lifted the shelter-in-place advisory, stating there is no longer a perceived threat to the community.

However, the investigation is still active, and the police are withholding further details at this time.
