Fairfax man arrested for violating release conditions

FAIRFAX — Troopers from the St. Albans Barracks arrested a local man on July 30 for violating conditions of his release by possessing a cell phone.

Nicholas Badger, 20, was taken into custody after an investigation revealed he had a cell phone, which was prohibited under court orders related to previous charges of sexual exploitation and luring of a child.

Badger was processed at the State Police Barracks in St. Albans, then transported to Northwest State Correctional Facility where he was held on $500 bail.

He received a flash citation to appear in court on July 31 at 1 p.m. for the violation charge.
