Boston police seek public’s help in finding missing 81-year-old man

BOSTON — The Boston Police Department is urgently requesting the public’s assistance in locating 81-year-old Edward Collins from Melrose, who has been reported missing.

Collins was last seen around 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 31, in the vicinity of W Sixth Street.

He is described as wearing a green or teal shirt, black pants, and mismatched sneakers.

Authorities note that Collins is dealing with mental health issues, which adds to the urgency of finding him.

There has been a possible sighting of Collins this morning at the Broadway Station, and it is believed he may be attempting to reach North High Street in Melrose.

The Boston Police Department urges anyone with information about Edward Collins’ whereabouts to immediately contact 911 or the Area C-6 Detectives at 617-343-4742.

The police and Collins’ family are hoping for a swift and positive resolution to this situation.
