Scarborough police seek public’s help with footage of high-speed chase

SCARBOROUGH — A high-speed pursuit initiated by the Scarborough Police Department on July 27 after a dangerous driver evaded a traffic stop led authorities on a chase through town, and officials are now seeking the public’s assistance.

The incident occurred around 4:30 p.m. when officers attempted to pull over a vehicle in the area of Oak Hill.

The driver failed to comply, resulting in a chase that took police down Black Point Road to the intersection of Spurwink Road.

The Scarborough Police Department is asking anyone who may have captured photos or video of the pursuit, including home surveillance footage, to come forward.

The department has provided an online upload link for the community to submit any relevant media.

Sgt. Flynn has also been made available for those who wish to provide footage directly to an officer.
