BARTON — A 21-year-old Barton man was arrested late Monday night for suspected driving under the influence after he allegedly crashed his truck into two parked cars on Main St and fled the scene.

According to Vermont State Police, at 10:03 p.m., a Chevrolet Silverado operated by Jaden Dagesse collided with a Volvo XC90 owned by Terry Hebert, 69, and subsequently pushed it into a Subaru Crosstrek owned by Melissa Hebert, 41, both residents of Barton.

The incident occurred near the intersection of Main St and School St, with both parked vehicles sustaining heavy damage.

Troopers were dispatched to the location and followed evidence from the crash site to Dagesse’s nearby residence, where they found the damaged Silverado.

Upon encountering Dagesse, officers noted signs of impairment and took him into custody on suspicion of DUI.

Dagesse was transported to the Vermont State Police Derby Barracks for processing.

He was later released with a citation to appear in Orleans County Superior Court.

No injuries were reported at the scene.
