Pedestrian injured in Essex car crash, police seek information

ESSEX — A car crashed into a pedestrian on the evening of July 28, resulting in serious injuries and a temporary lane closure on Pearl Street, according to the Essex Police Department.

Essex Police, along with the Essex Junction Fire Department, Essex Junction First Response, and Essex Rescue, responded to the incident at around 9:03 p.m.

The injured pedestrian was immediately taken to UVM Medical Center for treatment.

The crash led to a brief reduction of Pearl Street to one lane as emergency crews worked at the scene.

Authorities are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.

Sgt. Michael Roberto of the Essex Police Department has urged anyone with information about the crash to come forward and contact the department to assist with the investigation.
