Fairfield theft caught on camera, police seek suspect

FAIRFIELD — Vermont State Police are investigating a larceny case involving the theft of a child’s bike after a homeowner’s security camera captured images of an unknown male taking the bike on July 24.

The incident occurred at around 4:15 p.m. on Rugg Rd. when the male suspect, seen wearing a one-strap bag, was recorded riding away with the 18-inch green bicycle.

The direction of travel after leaving the vicinity remains unknown.

Authorities received the theft report on the morning of July 29 at 8:34 a.m. and are currently seeking assistance from the public.
