Driver unharmed after crash in Mount Holly

MOUNT HOLLY — On July 28, at approximately 1:34 p.m., Vermont State Police responded to a single-vehicle accident on VT Route 103 near the intersection of Markwell Lane.

Joseph Dandrea, 77, of Morris Plains, New Jersey, was driving a 2023 Lexus NX southbound when he lost control of his vehicle, veered off the road, and collided with a guardrail.

The vehicle then continued into a ditch and struck a tree, resulting in substantial front end damage.

Despite the significant impact, Dandrea was wearing his seatbelt and reported no injuries at the scene.

The vehicle was disabled and required towing services provided by Benny’s Towing.

Authorities, including the Mt Holly Fire Department and Ludlow Rescue, assisted at the scene.

The weather was clear, and road conditions were dry at the time of the incident.

The cause of the accident is under investigation by the Vermont State Police.
