Two arrested for vehicle theft in Waterbury

WATERBURY — On July 27, at approximately 5:08 p.m., Berlin Barracks Troopers responded to a report of a stolen vehicle from Gregg Hill Road.

The investigation, assisted by the victims of the theft, led to the location of the vehicle at a Shaw’s parking lot in Williston.

Williston Police Department officers aided in detaining Gregory Barreda, 48, of Burlington, and Jennifer Cepeda, 38, of Colchester, who were identified as the operators of the stolen vehicle.

Both Barreda and Cepeda were arrested on charges of Operation Without Consent – Aggravated.

They were processed at the Williston State Police Barracks and issued citations to appear in Washington County Superior Court on Sept. 12 at 8:30 a.m. to face the charges.
