ROCKLAND — A 49-year-old man with ties to Rockland was arrested last week by the Bangor Police Department on several active arrest warrants, including one for Aggravated Drug Trafficking from Rockland.

David Carver, who previously lived in Rockland, faces multiple charges across Knox, Lincoln, and Penobscot counties relating to drug offenses and involvement in a multi-jurisdiction theft ring.

The arrest follows an extended investigation that started in 2023 after numerous local thefts, including stolen vehicles and trailers, were reported.

The Rockland Police Department’s probe into Carver was part of a collaborative effort with detectives from the Knox County Sheriff’s Office – Maine, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office, and other jurisdictions.

The investigation spanned several search warrants executed in both Rockland and Penobscot County.

Throughout the past year, several individuals associated with Carver have been apprehended and charged locally in connection to the thefts.

The Rockland Police expressed gratitude to the Bangor Maine Police Department, Knox SO, Lincoln SO, Penobscot SO, and the Damariscotta Police Department for their assistance and contribution to the successful outcome of these cases.
