NEWBURY — A local man is facing multiple charges after a domestic incident escalated into violence and threats on July 27.
Drew Leete, 43, was arrested after Vermont State Police responded to a family fight at a residence on Scotch Hollow Road.
Troopers reported that upon their arrival, they discovered Leete had assaulted a member of his household.
Leete was taken into custody around 6:15 p.m. and transported to the State Police St. Johnsbury Barracks.
There, he was processed and issued a citation for one count of Domestic Assault and three counts of Criminal Threatening.
Authorities have scheduled Leete to appear in the Orange County Superior Court – Criminal Division on July 29 at 12:30 p.m. Court documents did not disclose the identity of the victim or the nature of the threats made.
As the investigation continues, Leete remains lodged, and no bail has been set at this time.
