COVENTRY — A pedestrian was fatally struck by a motor vehicle Saturday night on Nooseneck Hill Road, according to the Coventry Police Department.
At 9:35 p.m., police and the Central Coventry Fire Department responded to a report of a pedestrian accident near 2091 Nooseneck Hill Rd.
Officers discovered a deceased male, later identified as 63-year-old Michael Danielson of Coventry, on the side of the road.
The driver involved in the incident remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
The case is currently being handled by the Coventry Police Department’s Detective Division and Accident Reconstruction Team.
Detective Captain Kenneth Gebo, the contact for the case, has not released further details at this time as the investigation is ongoing.
