Woman arrested on suspicion of DUI after single-vehicle crash in Northfield

NORTHFIELD — A local woman was taken into custody early Saturday morning after her vehicle veered off the road in a residential area.

Vermont State Police responded to a report of a single-vehicle crash at the intersection of West Hill Road and Old Road at 12:28 a.m. Bryanna Phillips, 26, was driving a 1990 Acura Integra out of a driveway when she lost control and ended up in a nearby ditch.

Upon arrival, officers found that Phillips, a Northfield resident, was uninjured, and there was no damage to her vehicle.

However, during the investigation, it was determined that Phillips was operating the vehicle under the influence of intoxicants.

Phillips was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence and was later released with a citation to appear in Washington Superior Court – Criminal Division.

The clear weather and good road conditions at the time of the incident were noted in the report.

No other vehicles were involved, and no injuries were reported.
