Woman arrested for domestic assault in St. Johnsbury

ST. JOHNSBURY — Vermont State Police arrested a 43-year-old woman on charges of domestic assault late Thursday night.

Troopers were dispatched to a residence on Avenue A at approximately 9:09 p.m. following a reported altercation.

Upon arrival and subsequent investigation, authorities determined that Laurie Boynton, a resident of St. Johnsbury, had committed the crime of domestic assault.

Boynton was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Vermont State Police Barracks in St. Johnsbury for processing.

Following her arrest, she was released on a citation.

Boynton is scheduled to appear before the Caledonia County Superior Court – Criminal Division on July 26 at 12:30 p.m. to respond to the charge.

The Vermont State Police have not released further details about the incident.
