TEWKSBURY — The Tewksbury Public Works Department has successfully located and isolated a significant watermain break on Main Street near the Shawsheen River by the Knights of Columbus hall.
As a result of the break, a section of Main Street will be closed between Shawsheen Street and South Street to facilitate repairs.
Motorists are advised to expect traffic delays in the vicinity and to seek alternative routes if possible.
The Department of Public Works has announced that water pressure levels are stabilizing.
The town has issued an apology for any inconvenience caused by the necessary road closure and repair work.
Repair crews are on-site, working diligently to resolve the issue and restore normal traffic flow as soon as possible.
