RISP troopers make multiple arrests for DUI, obstruction and outstanding warrants

SCITUATE — Troopers from the Scituate Barracks arrested four individuals on various charges, including driving under the influence and failure to appear for arraignment.

At 3:08 p.m., troopers took Juan Roman, 42, of Providence into custody on a Sixth District Bench Warrant for failing to appear for arraignment regarding an expired license charge.

The arrest occurred after troopers responded to the Division of Motor Vehicles.

Roman was processed at State Police Headquarters, specially arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and subsequently released.

Later, at 12:55 a.m., Aracely Gomez Cante, 30, of Central Falls was arrested for driving under the influence and refusal to submit to a chemical test following a vehicle stop on Route 295 in Lincoln.

After being processed at headquarters, she was arraigned and released to a responsible adult by a Justice of the Peace.

Shortly after at 1:57 a.m., Erick A. Minaya, 24, of Pawtucket was arrested for obstructing an officer in the execution of duty.

The arrest resulted from a vehicle stop on Route 10 in Providence.

Minaya was also processed at headquarters and released to a responsible adult after his arraignment by a Justice of the Peace.

Finally, at 2 a.m., Pedro Ramos, 34, of Cumberland, was arrested on an Affidavit Arrest Warrant for one count of vandalism and one count of disorderly conduct from the Providence Police Department.

Ramos’s arrest followed a vehicle stop on Manton Avenue in Providence.

He was processed at the State Police Headquarters and handed over to the Providence Police Department.
