Newfane man victim of theft at WW Building Supply parking lot

NEWFANE — A theft was reported at the WW Building Supply parking lot on VT RTE 30 on July 27, at approximately 2:55 p.m., where 40-year-old Ramsey Demeter of Newfane had several items stolen from his vehicle.

Vermont State Police are investigating the incident, which is currently classified as petit larceny, though additional charges may be pending.

The suspect, who remains unidentified at this time, is believed to have been operating a gray Toyota RAV4 with Vermont license plates.

Authorities have released photos of a male suspected to be involved in the theft.

The Vermont State Police are urging anyone with information about the crime to contact Trooper Acevedo at the Westminster Barracks by calling 802-722-4600 and selecting option “3”.

The investigation is ongoing, and the state police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and apprehending the individual responsible for the theft.
