BRAINTREE — The Vermont State Police reported the arrest of a 21-year-old Bethel man following an incident of aggravated domestic assault and an attempted sexual assault on June 28.
Authorities said Cameron Gray was taken into custody after an investigation by the Vermont State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigations into a report of domestic violence on Murphy Rd in Braintree.
The investigation concluded that Gray had physically assaulted and attempted to sexually assault a family member.
Following his arrest, Gray was processed at the Vermont State Police Royalton Barracks.
He was later arraigned in Windsor County Superior Criminal Court and was held without bail.
In line with their policy, the Vermont State Police have not released the name of the victim, a standard practice in cases of sexual assault or domestic violence to protect the victim’s identity and privacy.
