BOSTON — Boston Police Department’s Youth Violence Strike Force apprehended 23-year-old Jajuan Holliman-Wiggins on Thursday morning in connection with a shooting earlier this month.

Holliman-Wiggins, from Roslindale, was taken into custody around 11:37 a.m. near 37 Archdale Road.

He was wanted on a warrant from Dorchester District Court for charges including unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition, discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a dwelling, and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

The arrest is linked to an incident that occurred at about 3:59 p.m. on July 1, when police responded to reports of a shooting at 34 Oldfields Road in the Roxbury neighborhood.

Officers found a male victim with a gunshot wound upon their arrival.

The victim received treatment for non-life-threatening injuries at a local hospital.

Holliman-Wiggins is scheduled for arraignment in Dorchester District Court.

The investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
