Fairfax fugitive apprehended on grand larceny warrant

FAIRFAX — Vermont State Police arrested a 46-year-old Fairfax resident, Jamie Pidgeon, on a New York warrant for grand larceny after responding to a suspicious event report on July 24.

Troopers from the St. Albans Barracks were called to the scene on Austin Road in Fairfax at about 11:19 a.m. following reports of suspicious activity.

Information obtained during the investigation led to the discovery of Pidgeon, who was wanted on a full-extradition warrant issued by New York authorities.

Pidgeon was located on Hidden Valley Road, close to the initial report site, and was taken into custody without incident at about 2:12 p.m.

They were processed at the St. Albans Barracks and subsequently received a flash citation.

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Vermont Superior Court, Franklin County Criminal Division, on July 25 at 1 p.m. to respond to the charge.
