Rhode Island State Police make multiple arrests, including DUI and domestic violence charges

WICKFORD — State Police arrested three individuals on charges ranging from domestic violence to driving under the influence in a series of incidents.

At 11:13 a.m., Troopers took Orlando Alvarez, 54, of North Kingstown into custody for violating a no-contact order, marking his third or subsequent offense.

Alvarez was apprehended at Third District Court in Warwick and taken to the State Police – Wickford Barracks for processing.

He was later arraigned at the same court.

Later that day, at 6:38 p.m., Adam R. Fredette, 42, also of North Kingstown, was arrested following a traffic stop on Centerville Road in Warwick.

Fredette faced a bench warrant for failing to appear for a review on an original charge related to a hit-and-run incident.

After his arrest, Fredette was processed at the Wickford Barracks and then transported to the Adult Correctional Institution Men’s Intake Center.

In the early hours, at 12:36 a.m., Agostinho Antunes, 48, of Mclean, Virginia, was stopped on Metacom Avenue in Warren and subsequently arrested for his first offense of driving under the influence with an unknown blood alcohol content and for refusing a chemical test.

Antunes was held at the Wickford Barracks and awaited arraignment at the 2nd Division District Court.
