Watertown police seek owner of car in hit-and-run involving dog

WATERTOWN — Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying the owner of a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run accident that injured a dog on July 18.

According to the Watertown Police Department, the incident took place at approximately 5:30 p.m., as the vehicle was traveling east on Warren St. by King St.

The vehicle in question is described as a 4-door black sedan with distinctive features, including headlights that span the width of the car, chrome side mirrors, and a chrome outline around the top portion of the side windows and rear windshield.

Authorities are reaching out for assistance in locating the vehicle and its driver to further investigate the circumstances of the accident.

Detective Sergeant Mark Lewis is leading the inquiry and is urging anyone with information to come forward.
