Springfield man charged with aggravated domestic assault

SPRINGFIELD — A Springfield man was arrested late Thursday night after police responded to a report of a domestic dispute on Furnace Street.

Officers from the Chester Police Department were dispatched at approximately 11:48 p.m. on July 5, where they conducted an investigation into the incident.

According to authorities, Harrison Rouleau is accused of strangling the victim, which resulted in bodily injury.

Rouleau was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Springfield Police Department for processing.

He has been charged with 1st Degree Aggravated Domestic Assault.

Following the arrest, Rouleau was issued a criminal citation to appear in the Vermont Superior Court, Criminal Division Windsor Unit, on July 8, to respond to the charge.

He was lodged at Southern State Correctional Facility pending his court appearance.
