New Haven store ransacked by masked group

NEW HAVEN — The New Haven Police Department is currently investigating a robbery that took place at a corner store located at the intersection of Huntington Street and Shepard Street.

According to reports, the incident occurred at approximately 9:13 p.m. on July 23.

A 911 call was made by a witness who reported that a group of about fifteen individuals, all wearing masks, were responsible for causing significant damage inside the store.

During the disturbance, an undisclosed amount of money was also stolen from the premises.

As of now, there have been no injuries reported in connection with the robbery.

Authorities have not yet released descriptions of the suspects or any further details regarding the ongoing investigation.

Officials ask that anyone with information related to the incident come forward and contact the New Haven Police Department.
