Construction laser equipment stolen in Derby

DERBY — The Vermont State Police were notified of a larceny incident involving stolen construction equipment in Derby.

According to a Spates Construction employee, a dull yellow laser case marked with “Spates” on its side was taken from a site along VT RT 111.

The case contained a construction laser, a receiver, and batteries for both items.

The theft has prompted an investigation by local authorities.

The Vermont State Police-Derby Barracks are seeking assistance from the public.

The investigation remains active.
