CHESTERFIELD — Chesterfield police took to Route 9 this morning in a concerted effort to crack down on traffic violations, particularly speeding, during a high visibility enforcement patrol.
From 5 a.m. to 8 a.m., officers stopped a total of 31 vehicles.
The operation resulted in 14 citations and one Must Appear Summons for Operating After Suspension, addressing drivers who were found to be exceeding the speed limit and committing other traffic offenses.
Acting Chief Rouse of the Chesterfield Police Department emphasized the importance of the initiative as part of the department’s ongoing commitment to road safety.
The department aims to deter behaviors such as excessive speeding, illegal passing, and reckless driving through these targeted enforcement patrols.
