TRUMBULL — Police officers in Trumbull had a busy week, responding to 375 calls for service between July 15 and July 21, according to the Trumbull Police Department.

The week’s incidents included an uptick in retail theft with 19 reports of shoplifting and larcenies.

Officers also responded to 24 medical calls and 17 motor vehicle accidents across town.

In addition to property crimes, the department reported two stolen vehicles and eight thefts from vehicles.

While there were no burglaries recorded during the week, there was one assault case and four public disturbances that required police intervention.

Domestic violence remains a concern, with six incidents addressed by police during the one-week span.

The department continues to encourage residents to report any suspicious activity and to take preventative measures to secure their vehicles and personal property.
