St. Albans woman charged with assault on a protected professional

WALLINGFORD — Vermont State Police arrested a 51-year-old St. Albans woman on July 21 for allegedly assaulting a protected professional at Serenity House in Wallingford.

Authorities were notified of the incident and responded to the scene where they encountered Monique Teague.

An investigation into the events that took place led to Teague’s arrest.

The victim, Sara Trombley, 41, of Fair Haven, was identified as the protected professional subjected to the assault.

Details regarding the nature of her injuries or the circumstances of the assault have not been disclosed.

After being taken into custody, Teague was transported to the Rutland Barracks for processing.

She has been cited to appear in Rutland County Court on Aug. 26 at 10 a.m. to face the assault charge.
