SOUTH HERO — A road rage incident on Rt 2 near Ferry Rd led to a 75-year-old Grand Isle man being charged with assault on July 20.
Vermont State Police responded to the scene at 5:25 p.m. after reports of an altercation.
Upon arrival, officers discovered that Jack Deforge had exited his vehicle and assaulted 20-year-old Ryan Recore from Plattsburgh, NY.
Recore was attended to by EMS at the scene and was found to have sustained minor injuries during the confrontation.
Deforge has been cited to appear in Grand Isle County Superior Court to face charges of Simple Assault and Disorderly Conduct.
The date for his court appearance has not been disclosed.
State Police are continuing their investigation into the incident.
