PROVIDENCE — Troopers arrested Charles King, 39, at his East Providence residence at 6:10 p.m. on charges of failing to stop after an accident resulting in vehicle damage, obstructing an officer, and driving with a suspended license for the fourth or subsequent time.

The arrest followed an investigation by the Lincoln Woods Barracks into an incident involving King.

After the investigation led troopers to King’s home at 148 Sutton Avenue, he was taken into custody without further incident.

King was processed at the barracks, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and subsequently transferred to the Adult Correctional Institution Men’s Intake Center.

The specific details of the accident leading to the charges were not immediately released by the authorities.
