East Providence man faces multiple charges after barracks investigation

PROVIDENCE — Troopers have arrested a 39-year-old East Providence man following a barracks investigation that led them to his residence.

At 6:10 p.m., Charles King of 148 Sutton Avenue was taken into custody on charges including Failure to Stop for Accident Resulting in Damage to Vehicle, Obstructing Officer in Execution of Duty, and Driving with a Suspended/Revoked/Cancelled License – 4th Plus Offense.

King was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and subsequently turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution Men’s Intake Center.

In a separate incident, at 10:20 p.m., Kevin Greenwood, 23, of 939 Branch Avenue, Apt #2, Providence, was arrested for Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle – First Offense.

The arrest occurred after a motor vehicle stop on Whipple Street in Providence.

Greenwood was brought to the Lincoln Woods Barracks for processing and was held overnight.

He is expected to be presented as a probation violator at his morning arraignment.

Additionally, early this morning at 2:50 a.m., Tyler Deburgo, 23, from 22 Rosewood Street, Pawtucket, was arrested on charges of Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor-BAC Unknown-First Offense and Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test.

This arrest followed a motor vehicle stop on Garden Street in Pawtucket.

Deburgo was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks, arraigned, and released to a responsible adult.

He is scheduled for a future appearance at the Sixth Division District Court.
