LONDONDERRY — A suspect wanted in connection with a double homicide in Lynn, Massachusetts, last year was arrested Thursday afternoon in Londonderry, local authorities said.

Justin Alba, 25, of Lynn, was taken into custody around 2:45 p.m. following a traffic stop at the intersection of Forest Street and Moore Road.

The Londonderry Police Department, assisting the United States Marshal’s Service and Massachusetts State Police, made the arrest without incident.

Alba was charged with being a Fugitive from Justice and was held to await arraignment at the Derry District Court, scheduled for July 19.

During the arraignment, Alba waived his right to fight extradition to Massachusetts.

He is facing several charges upon his return, including two counts of murder, four counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, and one count of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon causing serious bodily injury.

The arrest stems from an investigation into a double homicide that occurred in Lynn in 2023.

Alba’s extradition to Massachusetts will see him answering to these charges in the state where the alleged crimes took place.
