St. Albans woman killed in Highgate rollover crash

HIGHGATE — A single-vehicle rollover claimed the life of a St Albans woman on July 18 after her car went off the road and tumbled multiple times.

Vermont State Police were called to the scene near 2352 Morey Road at 5:31 p.m. where they discovered a 2003 Subaru Outback with significant damage.

The driver of the vehicle, Savannah Lambert, 31, was pronounced dead at the scene due to injuries sustained in the accident.

Authorities indicate that Lambert was heading north on Morey Road when she lost control of the vehicle after failing to navigate a curve past Brosseau Road.

The Subaru left the west side of the roadway and rolled over several times, resulting in Lambert being ejected from the car.

Investigators noted that she was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

There were two children in the vehicle, both secured in child safety seats.

According to officials, the juveniles emerged unharmed.

The weather was clear, and the road conditions were dry at the time of the incident.

The crash remains under investigation by the Vermont State Police.
