Motorcyclist in critical condition after crash in Huntington

HUNTINGTON — A motorcycle crash on Main Road near Van Dine Drive has left a 20-year-old Westford man in critical condition, Vermont State Police reported.

The incident occurred at 6:10 p.m. on July 18 when Alexander Wamsganz lost control of his 2012 Yamaha FZ8 motorcycle while navigating a curve.

Although Wamsganz was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident, the vehicle sustained total damage, and he suffered critical injuries.

Emergency responders from Huntington Fire Department and Richmond Rescue assisted at the scene.

Wamsganz was transported to UVM Medical Center where he is currently being treated.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation by the Vermont State Police.

They urge anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has information related to the crash to come forward.
