NAUGATUCK — Police responding to a shoplifting complaint on July 16 at the Stop & Shop on 727 Rubber Avenue arrested four individuals, uncovering several outstanding warrants in the process.
At approximately 5:30 p.m., officers encountered 38-year-old Jaclyn Kichar of Ansonia attempting to leave the scene in a vehicle with 47-year-old Jamell Savage of Waterbury, and Winchester residents 38-year-old Craig Kichar and 38-year-old Danielle Dimeo.
Two passengers tried to flee on foot but were quickly apprehended following a brief chase.
Further investigation revealed that Jaclyn Kichar, Danielle Dimeo, and Craig Kichar were wanted on multiple warrants.
Charges against the individuals included conspiracy to commit larceny, possession of a controlled substance, and interference with an officer.
Jaclyn Kichar, facing charges including sixth-degree larceny and possession, was released to the Shelton Police Department on a $5,000 non-surety bond.
She is scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Aug. 7 at 9 a.m.
Danielle Dimeo was charged with fifth-degree larceny, use of drug paraphernalia, among others, and released on a $10,000 non-surety bond, with the same court date as Jaclyn.
Jamell Savage, charged with conspiracy to commit larceny, was released on a $5,000 non-surety bond for an Aug. 7 court appearance.
Craig Kichar faced fifth-degree larceny and other charges and was held on several failure to appear warrants.
He was issued a $5,000 non-surety bond and appeared in court on July 17.
All four individuals are due to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Aug. 7 for their respective charges.
