Burlington man charged with assault, trespass in Lincoln altercation

LINCOLN — A Burlington man was arrested Wednesday afternoon after allegedly assaulting a homeowner in a property dispute, according to Vermont State Police.

Calvin C.Joos, 28, is facing charges of aggravated assault and unlawful trespass following an incident at a residence on Ripton Road.

Police were called to the scene at approximately 4:12 p.m. where they discovered that Joos had physically assaulted 64-year-old Timothy M.

Brokaw after being asked to leave the property.

Authorities took Joos into custody and transported him to the New Haven Barracks for processing.

He was released on court-ordered conditions and is scheduled to appear in Addison County Superior Court on July 18 at 12:30 p.m. to respond to the charges.
