PAWTUCKET — Police are investigating a shooting that left an 18-year-old male dead early today at the intersection of School and Rosewood streets.
Authorities said they responded to the scene around 12:45 a.m. after receiving a report of gunfire.
The victim, who has not been identified, was found with a gunshot wound and was later pronounced dead at a local hospital.
The Pawtucket Police Department has not released details on a suspect or the circumstances leading up to the shooting.
The investigation is open and ongoing.
Detectives Kyle Juckett and Jonathan Gagnon are leading the investigation.
