CROMWELL — Two individuals were arrested following an armed robbery at the Super 8 Motel in Cromwell, according to a press release from the Cromwell Police Department.
Authorities responded to the motel at 1 Industrial Park Road on July 16 after receiving a report that a person had been robbed at gunpoint.
The victim provided a description of the assailants, which led to the swift location and detention of the suspects.
Trevor Simms, 28, of Hartford, and Kayla Santos Dimanno, 33, of Meriden, were taken into custody after the investigation.
Simms faces charges of first-degree robbery, conspiracy to commit first-degree robbery, carrying a dangerous weapon, conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny, and sixth-degree larceny.
Santos Dimanno has been charged with conspiracy to commit first-degree robbery, first-degree robbery, sixth-degree larceny, and conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny.
Both Simms and Santos Dimanno were held on a $250,000 cash/surety bond.
They are scheduled to appear at Middletown Superior Court on July 17.
