Teens arrested for shoplifting in South Windsor

SOUTH WINDSOR — Two 18-year-olds were arrested Monday for allegedly shoplifting merchandise worth approximately $164 from a Target store, police said.

Brianna Anderson of Agawam, Massachusetts, and Jack D. Vandyke of Tariffville, Connecticut, were each charged with sixth-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny, according to the South Windsor Police Department.

Officers were at the Target store at 125 Buckland Hills Drive for an unrelated case when loss prevention personnel observed Anderson stealing items while Vandyke acted as a lookout, police said.

The incident occurred at 3:50 p.m. on July 15.

Both suspects were issued misdemeanor summonses and are scheduled to appear in Manchester Superior Court at 9 a.m. on July 31.
