MANCHESTER — The New Hampshire Department of Transportation has announced that a significant transportation of heavy equipment will cause traffic delays from Manchester to Londonderry tonight, July 16, starting at 9 p.m. until the early hours of July 17 at 3 a.m.

Bay Crane Northeast LLC will transport a colossal piece of equipment weighing 752,000 pounds and measuring 181 feet in length.

The move is scheduled to begin on Gay Street in Manchester and end on Brewster Road in Londonderry.

The approved Supermove route will impact several roads including NH Route 3A, Perimeter Road, and NH Route 28 in Manchester, continuing along Route 28 through Londonderry and Derry, NH to Scobie Pond Road.

Motorists should be prepared for rolling roadblocks and temporary road closures, particularly at three special bridge crossings where “jumper bridges” will be used, potentially causing closures of 30 minutes or more.

Traffic control will be managed by yellow light escorts and NH State Police to ensure safety.

Delays are expected and drivers are advised to remain alert while the transport is underway.
