MANCHESTER — A local man was arrested early this morning on multiple charges, including his sixth offense for impaired driving, after leading state troopers on a chase.
At 12:45 a.m. today, July 15, calls came into State Troopers at the Troop B barracks about a vehicle weaving dangerously through a construction zone on the F.E.
Everett Turnpike in Bedford.
The driver, later identified as 26-year-old Rodolfo Ramirez Romero of Manchester, narrowly missed a construction vehicle and continued driving erratically northbound onto Interstate 293.
State Police Capt.
Matthew Amatucci, who was on detail at the construction site, spotted the vehicle as it passed.
When he attempted to pull the vehicle over, Ramirez Romero did not comply, leading to a pursuit toward Manchester.
The chase ended when Ramirez Romero stopped at the Exit 6 offramp and was detained.
Previously out on bail for a DWI arrest in May, Ramirez Romero now faces charges for driving while intoxicated, disobeying an officer, operating with a suspended license, being a certified habitual offender, aggravated DWI, and two counts of bail breach.
An electronic bench warrant was also out for his failure to appear in court.
Ramirez Romero was denied bail and is being held at the Valley Street jail.
His arraignment is set at the Manchester District Court.
